Cure Panic Attacks
Learning to cure panic attacks is
definitely possible if you learn ways to control
your anxiety. Panic attacks are generally made
up of two types of symptoms, psychological and
physical. If you want to cure panic attacks,
you will need to focus on both symptoms to be
successful.
Psychological
symptoms that you experience may include restlessness,
nervousness, feeling of terror or being scared, you may even
worry that you are going to die or become
insane.
You may also have
recurring fears that are caused from remembering what you
were feeling the last time you had a panic
attack. These compounding problems begin to feed off of
each other and in some cases you may begin to experience
physical problems.

Physical problems
can be many as your mind actually tricks you into thinking you
are physically sick. Your heart may begin to race and
shortness of breath is common. Other physical ailments like
upset stomach, diarrhea and headaches are very
common. Some people even begin to twitch and get the
jitters or experience other involuntary movements. You
may also have a tingling feeling of pins and needles in your
hands and feet. Hot flashes and chills are also common physical
symptoms. Many complain of heart attack like symptoms and in
severe cases some even convulse in seizure like attacks. There
are ways you can find relief from these symptoms by curing
panic attacks.
One way
to cure panic attacks is to start
with medication to stabilize your physical symptoms and
anxiety. However, taking medication can begin to lead to
dependency and that is not what you want. Medication
should be taken only to clear your thinking so you can begin to
learn effective ways of dealing with your situation. Once
you begin to learn the proper natural ways to
cure panic attacks you should begin to wean yourself off
of the medication. Your goal should be to learn ways of
keeping your levels of anxiety as low as possible so your body
doesn't react and start to experience any physical
symptoms.
Breathing
One technique that works very
well is the deep breathing technique. (this is the
breathing into a paper bag technique although you don't need
the bag!) If you find yourself entering an anxiety
provoking situation or if you are already experiencing a panic
attack you can try taking deep and controlled
breaths. Begin breathing in through your nose and then out
through your mouth. Your focus should be on deep controlled
inhales through the nose and then exhales through the
mouth. Try to control your breaths and do it at
least 10 times before taking a break. This should begin to
calm you down. You can repeat with another set if
necessary but just remember to take a break in
between. Many people use simple breathing techniques
as part of their daily routine as a way to cure panic
attacks.
Count Down From
100
The counting technique is used to get your mind off of the
situation at hand. It helps calm your mind and bring the
body down to an anxiety level that is manageable. As you are
counting down from 100 you should be thinking that you are
lowering the your fears one level each time you count
down. This will create a calming effect in your mind. The
time it takes you to count down provides your mind with a
period where it is concentrating on counting and diverts it's
thinking away from the high anxiety situation.
Imagery
Your imagination is a powerful tool that you can use to help
you easily cure panic attacks. When faced with a highly
stressful situation, sit back and close your eyes if possible
and think about yourself in another place that does not provoke
anxiety. This place should be a peaceful place
that provides you comfort and joy, it could be the beach, it
could be a lake house in the woods or any place of
tranquility. You are using this technique to trick you
mind into thinking that you are in a safe comfortable place
rather than the current stressful situation you are
experiencing.
Change Your
Cognitions
An important lesson to learn is how to change
the way you think. If you are having scary thoughts or
nightmares and are watching horror movies or crime shows before
you go to bed, maybe you should change your tv viewing
habits before bedtime. If you think something is scary then you
begin to fill your mind with those thoughts and could trigger
anxiety or panic attacks. Changing the way you look at
situations and changing the situations you put yourself into
will ultimately change the way you react to
them.
Learning to cure
panic attacks can be a difficult and long journey but
you can do it. The natural techniques
you learn will not work overnight but with persistence you
will overcome your anxiety and fears. Using these natural
technics daily will make it possible for you to rid yourself of
panic attacks and begin to lead a normal productive
lifestyle. You can be free of panic attacks, be patient
and persistent and you will achieve your goals.
