1. Walk tall. Avoid keeping your eyes down for too long. You won’t find it difficult to make eye contact.Make sure you do not gape, of course. Only smile or greet them quietly. It’s a terrific first step to becoming more confident.
2. Make polite inquiries of people. Conversation is necessary in forging relationships and it has to go both ways. Starting a conversation is as easy as asking a general question. When it’s your turn to respond, include a question in your response. This demonstrates your interest and keeps the converstion going. It’s easy enough to do and leads you to stop being shy.

3. Don’t be skimpy when complimenting people. If your friend looks good today, let them know. Compliments forges rapport. It lets them know you notice them and like what you see. Flattering is not the same as complimenting; don’t interchange the two. You should be sincere when giving compliments. Be gracious when you’re complimented. Disagreeing with a compliment is immodest.
4. Invite family to your support team. Close family and friends know of your difficulties. Your loved ones will be supportive of your effort to beat shyness. Improve the way you deal with people; have a firend to practice with. It fuels your desire to build confidence when you have everyone’s support.
5. Volunteer your time. A helping hand is always wanted at community organizations.You can serve at church or at fund-raisers. Besides giving you the opportunity to perform your civic duties, you get to meet new people.
Before science invents a shyness pill, it will be considered a social condition. it’s not about becoming someone you’re not; it’s about being your best. Being overly shy deprives you of many things in life and you don’t have to. With the aid of encouragement from a support team, you’d be more outgoing in no time.
